TRiGroup, Inc. is proud to announce that Shaun McElroy has joined our diverse team of dedicated professionals!

Shaun McElroy has served bay area school communities for over  four decades as a classroom teacher and site administrator. During Mr. McElroy’s tenure as a site administrator, he successfully led schools to five California Distinguished School Awards and a National Blue-Ribbon Award.  He was selected as the ACSA Contra Costa Charter and  Region IV Administrator of the Year in 2006.

Mr. McElroy holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, K-12 teaching credentials in biology and physical education and a Clear Administrative Services Credential. He is certified in two research based coaching methodologies. Mr. McElroy was a Stanford University Principal Fellow from 2010 to 2014. Since 2006 he has consulted in 26 school districts in Contra Costa, San Mateo and Alameda counties. Mr. McElroy’s coaching clientele includes new administrators, leadership coaches and administrative teams. Clientele ranges from beginning administrators to Superintendents.

Mr. McElroy recently retired from the  Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE). Mr. McElroy served as ACOE Director of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) where he trained and supervised 65 leadership coaches who provided coaching for over 250 school leaders in four counties. Mr. McElroy authored the CTC approved clear credential program hosted by ACOE. Mr. McElroy was appointed as the Executive Director of Human Resources in March 2017 and continued  to oversee the LDP.  Mr. McElroy served as a senior member of the superintendent’s executive cabinet and was the agency’s chief negotiator.  Additionally, he facilitated the monthly Labor and Employment Consortium for ACOE client districts.

Working with an Executive Leadership Coach is the highest level of professional development for leaders. Coaching provides the leaders with the opportunity to reflect on their practice in a neutral confidential environment. Leaders receive objective feedback from a former school leader.
